It is the footwear which is the most important soccer equipment. Selecting not only good but the perfect pair of soccer shoe is vital for any player. In the modern day, football boots can be fashionable as well as functional. As a player it is your responsibility to choose the boots that fit you best and give you the freedom to move easily on the ground. Soccer shoes can be varied depending on the level of skill, playing surface and the weather conditions.
Soccer Shoes Usually Come In Three Variations
I. Firm Ground (FG) or Molded Shoes- Firm Ground shoes are considered as the most versatile that will work on most surfaces. The out-sole of a firm ground shoe can also be referred to as a bladed bottom, molded bottom or traction bottom. Firm-ground wide soccer shoes typically have 10 to 14 medium-length individual cleats in a blade or circular shape that cannot be removed.
II. Soft Ground (SG) or Replaceable Shoes- For getting superior stability, comfort and ball control on the wet, soggy ground and muddy grass fields, Soft ground soccer shoes are ideal. This type of soccer shoes has long and replaceable metallic cleats or studs. You can leave the tournament gobsmacked every single time when you wear Soft ground soccer cleats when the playing conditions aren't ideal.
III. Hard Ground (HG) or Multi-ground (MG) Shoes- For playing on the artificial, clay, solid or hard surface, Multi-ground/Hard Ground soccer shoes are perfect. HG shoes are designed to offer better grip and feeling while playing on the artificial surfaces. Evenly distributed studs used in the Hard ground cleats are wider and shorter for even distribution of weight across the out-sole.
Comfort should be the driving factor while selecting the football boots. The more comfortable you feel with your footwear, the better you perform. Keep in mind that an extra large or poorly fitting soccer shoe can lead to a serious injury. So it is most important to understand which type you need.
